We all laughed.

My officemate was feeling down lately because she feels overworked. While having lunch with her, she muttered:

“Gusto kong magkulong sa bahay. Patayin ang cellphone ko. Iwasan ang kumain o mapatingin man lang sa pagkain. Tumunganga sa blankong pader ng matagal. At magsabi ng ‘life is beautiful.“

Ay nako. Stress lang yan.

Nagtatawanan lang naman kami isang araw sa officenung biglang mag-butt in ang isa naming artist:

“It hurts like a heartache.” 

Ano daw?! Saan naman nanggaling ang linyang yun aber?

Hmn, hurts like a heartache pala ha. Anong feeling ito? Care to explain sa kung sino mang naka-experience na dyan ng heartache? Hahaha!

I was organizing (daw) my things over the weekend when I stumbled upon this old notebook I used to write my cp inbox’s quotes on when I was in second year college. (Gano’n pa ako ka-mushy sa mga texts na natatanggap ko.) Of course, most of the quotes are about the usual topics: life, love, and friendship. Some of them are funny and some are damn serious. Well, these ones I’m sharing here are, er, uncategorized because of the meanings and feelings behind. Read on and laugh (or rather, reminisce) with me. Haha!

Nanaginip ako kagabi. Di mo na daw ako mahal. Napaiyak ako dahil dito. Pero pagkagising ko, bigla akong natawa. Naisip ko, di mo naman talaga ako mahal diba?
Kamusta naman ang pagiging madrama nito! But this usually happens right? Not the dreaming part. The unrequited love part. Pero ano ba ang magagawa mo, hija? Not meant for you kaya move on. Don’t have nightmares about it. Okay, I know, madaling sabihin, sobrang hirap gawin.

Ang tagal kitang hinintay pero di ko na kaya. Pasensya ka na ha. Nagmahal na ako ng iba pero makakatulong kaya sa’yo kung sasabihin kong “Kaya ko syang iwan para sa’yo?”
First and foremost, asshole and taong nakaisip nito. Kung mahal mo, hihintayin mo. You wouldn’t settle for who’s there. Dahil aside from the fact na unfair sa taong sinabihan mong hihintayin mo (unless pinaasa ka n’ya sa wala), unfair din sa taong ginagawa mong panakip-butas! Wow! Such a reaction huh?! Haha!

Kapag wala na ako, siguro di yun kawalan sa’yo. Di yun makakaapekto sa’yo pero gusto ko lang malaman mo… happy ako. Bakit? Kasi kahit minsan sa buhay ko, nakilala ko yung isang tulad mo.
Oh gosh, will the mushiness and lying please stop. You know, this is bullshit. You don’t tell someone you’re happy and okay to project an image of strength. (Don’t imitate me. Chaka! Haha!) You don’t really mean saying this. Because you know that all you want to do is know him/her not for a moment but be with him/her during your lifetime.

You eased the pain when I faked the wound. You calmed me down when I faked the mood. You were instantly there when I faked the call. But why didn’t you catch me? I didn’t fake the fall.

From my cellphone inbox… mga quotes na galing sa kaibigan kong laging naka-Unlimitxt. I’m sure mapupulutan n’yo rin naman ng aral ang mga ito pero kung wala kayong pakialam tulad ko, pwede n’yong i-share ang mga quotes na ito sa iba para sila na lang ang makinabang.

Fate brings you together but it still is up to you to make it happen. We may meet someone by chance but loving and staying with that someone is a choice.

It’s wrong to keep expecting especially if the situation tells that things aren’t just meant for you… but are you to be blamed when someone just keeps on making you feel that things are right?

Overheard from two people who barely knew each other’s lovelives… the lady was saying to the guy:

Hindi ka dapat nagmamahal kung alam mong hindi ka seseryosohin.

Hmn, I wonder where that came from. Mukhang may bitter experience ang ale. I’m not sure if I want to agree or not. How do you know na seseryosohin ka ng isang tao? Sinu-sino ba sa mundong ito ang dapat na sineseryoso at hindi sineseryoso? Ano ang batayan ng ganyang klaseng pag-iisip? Hindi ba enough yung tao ka kasi kaya dapat sineseryoso ka?

I’ll have to agree with that statement. Kung hindi ka sineseryoso ng isang tao, he/she doesn’t deserve your love. Or maybe, you should show him/her your love para ma-realize n’ya na ikaw ang taong dapat na sineseryoso. Or baka dapat wag na, kasi ibig sabihin ba nu’n, seseryosohin ka lang pag pinakita mong mahal mo s’ya. One-sided yata.

I’m a memory person. I love moments and sentiments. And I find this quote so true.

Sometimes, time isn’t just enough. We also need people, places, and things to make fresh unforgettable moments so that the old ones drown on the new ones. And we eventually forget because the memories of today are better than the memories of yesterday. And when we start forgetting the bad and the painful, that’s when we start healing.
