My brother is one hell of a good sarcasm freak (nagmana sa ate). We were on the car and on our way to Robinson’s Ermita to meet a family acquaintance. We’re talking about the boyfriend of someone we hate.
My sister said, “Bakit, may hitsura naman s’ya ah.” (Hindi ko alam kung sarcastic rin sya or what.)
Silence. (I was trying so hard to keep quiet but my mind was screaming, “lahat naman ng tao may hitsura ah.”)
Our younger brother was not that discreet, “Pangit nga lang.”
Kamusta naman ang hirt na yan. Kinabog ako. Talk about versions.
