Part of our being a KaQuote is the job to be quotable also. So, from this day forward, DietQuote will ask a question (quoted from anyone anywhere) every week which kaQuotes should answer. Whether maayos or gago ang sagot mo, basta sagot ka lang sa comment section. (Remember though that your answers speak a lot about you.) Besides, dapat medyo quotable din ang sagot para naman certified KaQuote ka nga talaga.
This week, our question comes from Meredith Grey of Grey’s Anatomy:
What’s worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should’ve healed years ago and never did?
Aaaw, crap! I so hate old wounds. The fact that they should have been gone adds insult to injury. It’s like mocking “i won’t heal because you don’t want me to.”
And, yeah, why do old wounds become old? Because, most often and most probably, we let them remain as wounds. It doesn’t matter how deep it is, if we want them to heal, they will heal. If we don’t want to, they won’t.
New wounds… because soon, they might become old wounds that should’ve healed years ago but never did. When that time comes, it will hurt a lot kasi nadagdagan. Lots of scars… na hindi naman talaga scars dahil hanggang ngayon wounds pa rin sila.
What’s the difference between an old wound that should have healed years ago and never did and a new wound that is so horribly painful?
Time of occurrence and level of pain.
I can’t say one is worse than the other. Both cause throbbing pains. The old one lingers to some extent that you would allow it to throb while a new wound gives you a fresher pain. You are the one who chooses if you want it to haunt you until the end or fortify yourself with it.
